Non-Discriminatory Policy
Every person, as a child of God, regardless of race, condition, or age, has equal diginity and an inalienable right to an education. Therefore, no qualified student will be denied admission to this school or the participation in any school sponsored program or activity, on the basis of race, color, sex, ethnic or national origin.

Admission Policy
Saint Joachim School uses California State law and Diocesan policy to determine the age for admitting children into the following grades:

California State law requires the following documents to be on file in the office before a child can attend school:
  • Copies of Birth & Baptismal Certificates for all Catholic students at time of registration. Non-Catholic students must provide birth certificates.

Admission Priority Scale
  1. Siblings of students already in school
  2. Registered parishioners
  3. Catholics from surrounding parishes without a school
  4. If space is available, Catholics active in other parishes
  5. Students who have been on our waiting list for more than one year, meeting the above conditions in priority order

Successful completion of an entrance exam and an interview with the principal are prerequisites for admission. New students are on academic and behavior probation for one (1) year.

Your admission to Saint Joachim School carries with it your commitment to:
  • Support the school policies and philosophies
  • Complete parent service hours or pay the fee of $300
  • Fundraise for the school so the profit is $400 or pay the $400 charge
  • Keep tuition payments and fees current
  • Participate in and contribute monetarily to Saint Joachim Parish
  • Participate in events and activities of the school and the parish as able

Tuition and Fees

Annual School Tuition 2010/2011 School Year - per student $4,270 (Pre-Kindergartenthrough grade 8)

Registration Fee
A per-student $250 non-refundable registration fee is required at the time of registration.

Family Fee: $300 per school family.

Tuition Payment Program
Saint Joachim School has a partnership with FACTs tuition management company. Families can make either ten (10), eleven (11) or twelve (12) monthly payments for tuition & fees. Those who do not enroll into the FACTS progam make a one-time payment to the school for all fees and tuition.

The school operates its budget during the months of August through June. All fees are non-refundable.

Parents who make one-time tuition payments do so for the months of August through May.

Service Hours (2010/2011 School Year) - Each family is required to either complete 30 hours of volunteer service to the school or pay a fee in lieu of service in the amount of $300 per year.

Fundraising (2010/2011 School Year) - Each family is required to either complete fundraising for the school in the minimum amount of $400 or pay a fee in lieu of fundraising in the amount of $400 per year.
